Bathroom Remodeling in Northeast Oklahoma
Complete Bathroom Renovations, Not Just the Shower
Most bathroom remodeling companies focus on the wet space. They’ll swap a tub for a walk-in shower and call it a renovation. We gutted the entire bathroom, top to bottom. Vanity, flooring, tile, lighting, plumbing, electrical, custom cabinets, paint, and trim. Shea Construction remodels the whole room because a new shower next to old vinyl flooring and a chipped vanity doesn’t make sense.
Bathroom Renovation for Northeast Oklahoma Homeowners
Bathroom remodels are consistently the most popular remodeling project in the country, and for good reason. You use the bathroom every day, and when it’s outdated, cramped, or falling apart, you feel it every morning. In Oklahoma, bathroom remodels typically range from $6,400 to $28,000, depending on the bathroom size, scope of work, and finish level. Oklahoma’s construction costs run roughly 20% below the national average, which means your remodeling budget goes further here than in most states.
Â
Shea Construction handles bathroom remodels across more than 30 cities in the Green Country region. We don’t limit our work to the wet space. When we say bathroom remodel, we mean the entire room: demo, framing, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tile, flooring, vanity, cabinets, countertops, mirrors, lighting, paint, and trim. One contractor manages every trade from the first swing of the hammer to the final walkthrough.
Â
Every bathroom remodel starts with a 3D rendering through Plan 7 Architect Pro so you can see your new tile patterns, vanity configuration, shower layout, and fixture placement on screen before we start demo. We partner with Schluter for waterproofing and tile systems, Kohler and Delta for plumbing fixtures, and Floor & Decor for tile and flooring materials.
Signs Your Bathroom Needs a Remodel
Grout Is Cracked, Stained, or Missing
Cracked or missing grout in the shower or around the tub means water is getting behind the tile and into the wall cavity. What looks like a cosmetic issue is often the first sign of moisture damage behind the surface. If the grout has been repaired multiple times and keeps failing, the underlying waterproofing and substrate need to be addressed, not just the grout lines.
The Layout Wastes Space or Doesn't Function
A toilet crammed next to the vanity. A shower so narrow you can’t move. A single sink where two would fit. Bathrooms built 20 or 30 years ago were designed for different priorities and smaller fixtures. A remodel lets you reconfigure the layout so the room actually works for how you use it now.
Fixtures Are Dated, Corroded, or Leaking
Faucets that drip. Handles that don’t turn smoothly. A shower head caked with mineral buildup. A toilet that runs constantly. Aged fixtures waste water, look tired, and eventually fail. Replacing them with modern, water-efficient fixtures from Kohler or Delta improves function and cuts your water bill.
You Can See or Smell Mold or Mildew
Persistent mold or mildew that comes back no matter how much you clean is a sign of a moisture problem behind the walls, under the floor, or around the tub and shower. A cosmetic fix won’t solve this. The affected materials need to be removed, the moisture source addressed, and proper waterproofing installed during the rebuild.
The Bathroom Doesn't Match the Rest of Your Home
You’ve updated the kitchen, refinished the floors, and painted every room. But the bathroom still has the original builder-grade vanity, plastic tub surround, and vinyl flooring from the year the house was built. A bathroom that hasn’t been touched stands out in a home that’s been improved everywhere else.
Types of Bathroom Remodels We Handleervices We Provide
Everything comes out. Vanity, tub or shower, toilet, tile, flooring, drywall, and fixtures. We strip the bathroom to the studs, address any moisture damage or structural issues, install new waterproofing (Schluter systems), and rebuild the room from scratch. This is the right approach when the bathroom has water damage behind the walls, an outdated layout, or finishes beyond saving.
Replacing a bathtub with a curbless or low-curb walk-in shower. This is one of our most requested projects, especially for master bathrooms and for homeowners who want a more accessible, modern shower space. Custom tile work, glass enclosures, bench seating, and built-in niches are all options. Schluter waterproofing systems are used on every shower we build.
Larger-scope renovations for the primary bathroom, often including a double vanity, separate shower and tub (or shower-only conversion), custom tile work, upgraded lighting, heated flooring, and improved storage. Master bath remodels are typically the highest-impact bathroom project in terms of daily quality of life and resale value.
Smaller bathrooms that still need complete renovation. New vanity, toilet, tub or shower surround, flooring, tile, paint, and fixtures. These projects run on a shorter timeline and a smaller budget than master bath remodels, but still benefit from the same design process and quality standards.
Benefits of a Professional Bathroom Remodel
We Remodel the Entire Bathroom
A lot of bathroom companies only touch the tub and shower area. They install a new surround and leave the rest of the room untouched. Shea Construction remodels the complete bathroom: vanity, flooring, tile, walls, lighting, electrical, plumbing, custom cabinets, countertops, mirrors, and trim. When we’re done, the whole room is new, not just the corner with the shower head.
Proper Waterproofing Built Into Every Wet Area
Water behind tile is the number one cause of bathroom failures. We use Schluter waterproofing membranes and drain systems on every shower and wet area we build. Schluter systems create a fully bonded waterproof layer between the tile and the wall or floor substrate, which prevents moisture from reaching the framing. This is the difference between a shower that lasts 5 years and one that lasts 20.
One of the Best Returns on a Remodeling Dollar
Mid-range bathroom remodels return 60% to 74% of the project cost at resale. In the Oklahoma City metro, the JLC Cost vs. Value Report estimates that number at roughly 73.7% for a midrange renovation. A remodeled bathroom improves your daily routine now and adds measurable value to your property if you sell later. Need help with payment? We offer SweetPay financing.
See Your New Bathroom Before We Touch the Old One
Using Plan 7 Architect Pro, we create a 3D rendering of your remodeled bathroom. You see tile patterns, vanity placement, shower configuration, fixture selection, and lighting layout on screen before demolition starts. You make decisions in the design phase when changes are free, not during construction when they cost money.

Bathroom Remodeling Questions
How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Oklahoma?
Bathroom remodels in Oklahoma typically range from $6,400 to $28,000, depending on the bathroom size, scope of work, and finish level. A guest or hall bathroom on the lower end; a full master bathroom renovation with custom tile, walk-in shower, and double vanity on the higher end. We provide a detailed quote after the 3D design phase.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Most bathroom remodels take 3 to 6 weeks from demolition to final walkthrough. Master bathrooms with custom tile work, layout changes, or structural modifications may take 6 to 8 weeks. We provide a project timeline before the demo starts and give regular updates throughout.
Can I convert my bathtub to a walk-in shower?
Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most common projects. We remove the tub, reroute the plumbing, install Schluter waterproofing, and build a custom tiled walk-in shower with the features you choose: bench seating, built-in niches, glass enclosure, rain shower head, and handheld sprayer.
Do you do ADA-accessible bathroom remodels?
Yes. We build curbless showers, wider doorways, grab bar installations, comfort-height toilets, and accessible vanity configurations. Accessible bathroom features are available as part of any remodel scope and can be incorporated into the 3D design.
What is Schluter and why does it matter?
Schluter Systems manufactures waterproofing membranes, shower trays, drain assemblies, and tile edge trim used in wet areas. We use Schluter on every shower and wet area we build because it creates a fully bonded waterproof barrier that prevents moisture from reaching the framing behind the tile. Without proper waterproofing, water gets behind the tile and causes mold, rot, and structural damage over time.
